Tylor Megill allows three home runs, Mets offense shut out in 4-0 loss to Braves

The Mets offense was kept in check and Tylor Megill allowed three home runs as New York fell to the Atlanta Braves, 4-0 on Saturday evening at Citi Field.

This is the eighth time the Mets (55-49) have been shut out this season. The loss snapped the Mets' five-game winning streak and allowed the Braves to regain the top NL Wild Card spot.

Here are the takeaways...

-Megill returned to the mound for the Mets for the first time since June and promptly retired the first 11 batters he faced, as everyone predicted, before Marcell Ozuna and Matt Olson took the big righty deep in the fourth inning for the first runs of the game.
