One of LSU’s top signees in the 2024 baseball recruiting class won’t be making his way to Baton Rouge after he was drafted in the first round of the 2024 MLB draft.
Cam Caminiti had an incredible year for Saguaro High School as a Senior. He went 9-0 with a 0.93 ERA on the season, striking out 119 batters in 52 2/3 innings. At the plate, he hit .493. He helped lead his high school to its first state championship in 13 years.
The 2021 World Series Champion Atlanta Braves drafted him with the 24th pick in the first round of the draft.
