This Day in Braves History: July 3
1914 - The Braves make their second trade in four days acquiring outfielder Josh Devore from the Phillies for infielder Jack Martin. Devore would appear in 51 games for the Braves hitting .227/.327/.281 in 152 plate appearances.
1966 - Tony Cloninger hits two grand slams and drives in nine runs as the Braves defeat the Giants at Candlestick Park, 17-3. Cloninger is the first National League player to hit two grand slams in a game.
