This Day in Braves History: September 25
1964 - Joe Torre puts together a monster night in a doubleheader win against the Phillies. Torre records two triples and drives in three runs in a 5-3 win in Game 1. Torre adds three more hits, including a 10th inning home run, in the second game. The Braves win Game 2, 7-5.
1979 - Brothers Mickey Mahler and Rick Mahler square off in a matchup between Houston and Atlanta.
