It was cathartic to see Atlanta convincingly body slam the narrative that the city was incapable of winning a championship. The Braves fielded so many great teams in the interim between championships, only to see them falter in October, and yet somehow this tumultuous season culminates in a World Series victory.
With the improbable nature of this championship, two things are guaranteed:
- Hope will extend well into the second half before anyone gives up on the Braves for the foreseeable future.
