Marcell Ozuna made an appearance in Fulton County Magistrate Court Monday where he was released from custody after posting a $20,000 bond and ordered to have no contact with his wife. He did not answer questions from the media after he was released. Ozuna’s lawyers said that Ozuna and his wife Genesis are in the process of divorce.
The was the first step in what will likely be a lengthy process for Ozuna who is facing the potential for considerable jail time if convicted. His baseball career is uncertain as well. Major League Baseball has launched an investigation into the incident that could take several months to play out.
