The Atlanta Braves got some good news on the injury front as Brian Snitker confirmed that reliever Will Smith has been cleared to return from the COVID-19 list and threw a side session at Truist Park Sunday. Smith was one of four players, along with Freddie Freeman, who tested positive during the team’s intake screening.
Snitker had no further update on catchers Tyler Flowers and Travis d’Arnaud who continue to test negative but are showing symptoms and not feeling well. Rookie William Contreras started at catcher for the Braves Sunday night.
