The Atlanta Braves trimmed two more players from their spring roster Thursday and had another opt out of their minor league deal reducing their camp number to 37. Atlanta began Thursday with the announcement that they had optioned outfielder Guillermo Heredia to the alternate site and reassigned infielder Ryan Goins to minor league camp. Neither move was surprising and both will likely serve as depth once the minor league season gets underway.
Atlanta informed reliever Carl Edwards Jr. that he would not make the Opening Day roster and he elected to opt out and become a free agent with hopes of latching on somewhere else.
