It has become an all too familiar thing over the last few months, but Major League Baseball and the Atlanta Braves lost another family member with the passing of Hall of Fame pitcher Don Sutton. Sutton was one of the game’s best pitchers accumulating 324 wins and a 3.26 ERA to go along with 3,574 strikeouts. Braves fans will better remember him as a broadcaster as he teamed with Skip Caray, Pete Van Wieren and Joe Simpson during the early nineties and throughout Atlanta’s run of dominance. Sutton later moved to the radio side, but his health had limited his appearances over the last couple of seasons.
