The Braves were always going to be in a bit of a dogfight with the Nationals on Saturday. The Nats are probably a better team than their record indicates and Max Fried was not particularly on. However, what was a close game late turned into a rout in a hurry as the Braves fell to the Nationals by the score of 10-4.
While losses happen over the course of a season, even a shortened one, this one just felt like something was off. Ronald Acuna continued his torrid pace with another home run, but Fried looked very human, Tyler Matzek got banged around, and manager Brian Snitker managed the late innings like the team was down by five plus runs.
