That’s a win, folks.
The Braves offense had looked pretty anemic through most of the first two games of the season, but a game-tying homer from Marcell Ozuna forced extra innings and clutch hits from Dansby Swanson and William Contreras gave the Braves a 5-3 win over the Mets.
There are some minor areas of concern including the slow starts so far of Acuna, Albies, and Freeman, but the Braves’ pitching through the first two games has been quite good and the end of the second game saw contributions from several players in the lineup, so here is hoping that this rally is a sign of things to come.
