The Braves have paused the celebrations and announced several roster moves on Saturday afternoon. Atlanta selected the contracts of RHP Alan Rangel and OF Travis Demeritte.
Rangel, the 24-year-old right-hander, posted a 3.38 ERA in 22 appearances with the Mississippi Braves this season. Demeritte had a successful year at the plate, slashing .285/.370/.958 with Triple-A Gwinnett.
And although it provides no guarantees on the timetable of their return, Mike Soroka and Ronald Acuña Jr. were reinstated from the 60-day IL.
In addition, the Braves released LHP Grant Dayton, who put together a 6.23 ERA in 2021, and declined the 2022 option for RHP Josh Tomlin.
