The Braves hold a 2-1 lead in the World Series after Friday night’s 2-0 win over the Houston Astros. The game’s first run came off the bat of Austin Riley, who collected his 7th RBI of the postseason. Travis d’Arnaud gave the Braves some insurance late, with a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Last night’s win was propelled by stellar pitching performances, both from Ian Anderson and the bullpen. Ian Anderson recorded five hitless innings, walking three Astros and striking out four. The bullpen picked up where Anderson left off, only surrendering two hits to Houston.
