Monday was a much-needed day off for the Braves, especially Ronald Acuña. The presumptive MVP favorite in the National League left the game early on Sunday in Chicago after experiencing pain in his abdomen. With bated breath, fans awaited a verdict on whether the outfielder would require an IL stint to recover, and were pleased to find out on Monday that Acuña will be day-to-day instead. He could certainly rest for a couple games, but this diagnosis is far better than some that were being considered on Sunday night. Keeping Acuña in the lineup in the midst of his incredible hot streak is obviously huge news and the Braves will almost certainly be better for it.
