Julio Teheran out pitched reigning National League Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom as the Atlanta Braves defeated the New York Mets 7-3.
The Mets got on the board first when Teheran left an off speed pitch out of over the plate that J.D. Davis lined into the left center stands for a solo home run. However, the Braves answered right back in the bottom half of the inning when Nick Markakis answered with a solo home run of his own to right.
Atlanta took the lead in the third as Ozzie Albies led off with a single, stole second and took third as Wilson Ramos’ throw down got away into center field.
