MIAMI -- Julio Teheran has not yet come close to satisfying the expectations he created with the success he had during his first two Major League seasons.
But the competitive spirit he displayed after struggling through the first inning of Friday night's 5-3 win over the Marlins provided the Braves hope that he is getting close to becoming himself again.
"He competed and kept us in the ballgame," Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said. "It wasn't his best outing, but he only gave up two runs and you've got to tip your hat to him.
