ATLANTA -- Julio Teheran successfully returned from the disabled list, but exited Sunday afternoon's game against the Padres with a no-hit bid alive.
Teheran recorded a season-high 11 strikeouts and kept the Padres hitless as he totaled 95 pitches over six scoreless innings. The Braves right-hander showed a slight limp after he threw what proved to be his final pitch. He may have been dealing with a cramp or could have turned his ankle.
After a brief discussion in the dugout, the Braves opted to remove Teheran, who was making his first start since jamming his right thumb during a June 4 game in San Diego.
