Strong Newcomb backed by Albies' fleet feet

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Braves rode six strong innings from starter Sean Newcomb and some alert baserunning from Ozzie Albies for a 4-1 win over the Giants on Monday that gave Atlanta its fourth win in five games.

The National League East-leading Braves stretched their lead over second-place Philadelphia, idled by rain at home against the Nationals, to five games with 18 games remaining on the Braves' schedule.
