Once upon a time, Chipper Jones catching a foul ball at an Atlanta Braves game wasn’t very noteworthy. The retired third baseman had to do that a lot during his career — even in the NLDS, in which the Braves played Game 1 against the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday.
However, Chipper Jones catching a foul ball in the year 2019, that’s just fun. The 47-year-old looks like he’s having fun.
That grin and those high fives came after the former MVP hauled in a foul ball from the bat of Cardinals outfielder Randy Arozarena in the top of the ninth inning of Game 1 between the Cardinals and Braves.
