Saguaro's Cam Caminiti was the last player to come out of the green room at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, but the wait was worth it Sunday.
Caminiti was taken 24th overall by the Atlanta Braves in the 2024 Major League Baseball Draft.
He was the first high school left-handed pitcher selected in the draft and the youngest player taken in the first round at 17-years old.
Invited by MLB to the draft, held at the Texas Rangers' stadium, Caminiti cried after hearing his name called.
"Man, I'm so excited," Caminiti said in his interview on ESPN.
