The Atlanta Braves dropped their second straight Grapefruit league game on Saturday falling 6-1 to the Houston Astros. While the Braves would probably prefer a better result, the game was significant as several more young prospects made their 2018 spring debuts.
Ronald Acuña got the start in centerfield while pitchers Mike Soroka and Kyle Wright each pitched an inning of relief. Acuña went 0-for-3 in the game but showed off his defensive prowess with a nice play in the outfield.
Soroka’s outing got off to a bit of a shaky start as he surrendered a home run to the first batter he faced as Yuli Gurriel jumped on an hanging breaking ball and pulled it over the left field wall.
