The votes are in, the announcement has been made and Ronald Acuña Jr. is the 2018 Rookie of the Year in the National League. Nationals’ outfielder Juan Soto and Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler were also finalists.
The Braves’ delayed Acuña’s arrival until the end of April and he overcame a month-long stint on the disabled list due to a knee injury but put up an incredible second half to help lead Atlanta to the NL East title.
Acuña got 27 of 30 first-place votes to Soto’s two.
