On the heels of yesterday’s announcement regarding Austin Riley’s knee injury, the Braves have made a roster move.
The #Braves today recalled RHP Jeremy Walker from Triple-A Gwinnett, and placed OF Austin Riley on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to August 5) with a right knee sprain.

Riley will hit the shelf in the midst of a rookie season where he has accumulated 0.8 fWAR in 255 PAs with a 98 wRC+. His timeline for returning is uncertain, but he’ll be eligible to return in a week given the backdating of his placement on the official shelf.
