Reds place A.J. Morris on DL, recall Dayan Diaz (The Associated Press)

ATLANTA (AP) -- The Cincinnati Reds have placed right-hander A.J. Morris on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder strain.

Morris left Wednesday night's game against Atlanta in the fifth inning after experience difficulty with the shoulder. He returned to Cincinnati to be examined.

The Reds recalled right-hander Dayan Diaz, who joined the team for Thursday's game against the Braves. Diaz had a 15.75 ERA in five games with Cincinnati before he was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on June 4.
