Don't call it an Old Timers' Game.
At least that's what the Red Sox aren't calling it. The team announced it will host an "Alumni Game" for the first time in 25 years.
Pedro Martinez and Dwight Evans will manage the two teams in a three-inning game on May 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Fenway Park before the Red Sox play the Atlanta Braves at 1 p.m. Fans with tickets to the Sox-Braves game are invited to attend the Alumni Game.
Among the Sox alumni scheduled to play are Wade Boggs, Oil Can Boyd, Orlando Cabrera, Scott Cooper, Jim Corsi, Lenny DiNardo, Alan Embree, Rich Garces, Jonny Gomes, Mike Greenwell, Sam Horn, Chris Howard, Bill Lee, Darren Lewis, Steve Lomasney, Derek Lowe, Mike Lowell, Julio Lugo, Steve Lyons, Keith MacWhorter, Pedro Martinez, Lou Merloni, Rick Miller, Mike Myers, and Troy O'Leary.
