The injury bug continues to bite the Boston Red Sox.
Newly-acquired first baseman Eric Hosmer went down with a left knee contusion during Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Braves. The injury occurred when he fouled a pitch off himself in the fourth inning. He was replaced at first base by Bobby Dalbec.
It's currently unclear whether Hosmer will miss time, but his injury capped off a brutal Tuesday for Boston. The team announced earlier in the day that left-hander Chris Sale -- already on the injured list with a fractured pinky finger -- suffered a broken wrist in a bicycle accident.
