Cincinnati Reds pitcher Nick Lodolo got strikeouts of the Cleveland Guardians' Steven Kwan and Franmil Reyes, and got out of trouble with a lineout by Eddie Rosario after allowing a pair of singles to record a scoreless first inning of work in his Major League Baseball debut Wednesday afternoon at Great American Ball Park.
The two strikeouts in Lodolo's first inning matched the total of teammate Hunter Greene on Sunday in the first inning of his MLB debut.
Lodolo threw 15 pitches - 12 of them strikes - in the 1st.
