The Atlanta Braves scored five runs in the second inning against Cole Hamels and made it hold up in a 5-4 win over the Texas Rangers.
Atlanta struck first in the second against Cole Hamels. Nick Markakis walked and moved up to second after Kurt Suzuki was hit by a pitch. Dansby Swanson followed with a single to center that scored Markakis to put the Braves up 1-0.
After a strikeout by Johan Camargo, Julio Teheran dropped down a bunt that Hamels fielded but Elvis Andrus was unable to handle the throw at second allowing Suzuki to score to make it 2-0.
