On April 12, Bartolo Colon made his first start for the Braves against Jacob deGrom and the New York Mets at Citi Field. Colon and deGrom had nearly identical outings as the former teammates each surrendered two hits while striking out six batters and walking one over six innings pitched. The Braves went on to defeat the Mets 3-1 in 12 innings for their first win of the season.
Colon will go up against deGrom and his former team once again on Wednesday as the Braves look to take control of the four-game series that is currently tied at 1-1.
