On November 5, after a long, 26-year wait, fans lined up across two segments of metro Atlanta, hoping to see the newly crowned World Champion Braves. The World Series victory parade was split into two parts—the first kicked off at Marietta and Peachtree Streets downtown and ended at 10th and Peachtree. (For whatever reason, the vehicles moved much faster than a typical parade, prompting frustration from fans and plenty of jokes online.) Then, the Braves hopped on I-75 and headed to Cobb Parkway for the second leg of the parade, ending at Truist Park. Inside the stadium, Billye Aaron, the widow of late Braves legend Hank Aaron, addressed the crowd: “The spirit of Hank Aaron pervades this space.
