Ryan Weber was outstanding in his major league debut, if you forget who the Braves were playing. Aaron Nola was better, unless you remember that he was pitching against the Braves.
The Phillies beat the Braves 5-0. Atlanta had plenty of opportunities but went 0-10 with runners in scoring position. The most egregious came in the top of the eighth with runners at first and second and nobody out. Luis Garcia had just walked Hector Olivera. Freddie Freeman turned a base on balls into a strikeout in a miserable effort.
