SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Peter Moylan and Kris Medlen pitched for the Atlanta Braves together from 2009 through 2013. Their continued friendship led to the pair playing against the Savannah Bananas Thursday night for a baseball team based in Australia.
Moylan was invited to play with the Aussie Drop Bears several weeks ago for this series. The Drop Bears are a touring club based in Australia. He has a strong relationship with the team’s owner. Moylan’s first call after being asked to play was to Medlen, one of his great friends who lives just north of Atlanta.
