Offense sputters in 4-1 loss to Mets

The game began on a good note for both teams as Julio Teheran and Jason Vargas got rolling early. Hits were few and far between while the starters were in the game for both teams as the early innings flew by.

Julio Teheran stumbled on only one pitch which he left up to Kevin Plawecki in the third inning. Plawecki went deep to left to give the Mets a 1-0 lead and Vargas began to show that seemingly is all he would need.

Vargas breezed through seven innings with his season ERA of over 6.
