Julio Teheran got knocked out in the fifth inning as the Braves fell for the sixth time in eight meetings against the Phillies this season. Teheran allowed back-to-back home runs to Aaron Altherr, Cameron Rupp and a big three-run bomb to Tommy Joseph. He has now allowed 26 home runs on the season including six in his last two starts.
Matt Kemp left Friday’s loss after the third inning due to a right hamstring strain. Kemp appeared to be limping coming around first as he tried to stretch a single into a double before being thrown out at second.
