The Augusta GreenJackets will be changing hands, pending approval.
The club announced Wednesday it had agreed to become part of Diamond Baseball Holdings, a newly-formed subsidiary of the California-based Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc.
Diamond Baseball Holdings acquired several teams on Wednesday, including the other three Braves’ affiliates in Gwinnett (Triple-A), Mississippi (Double-A) and Rome (High-A). All acquisitions are pending Professional Development League (PDL, formerly known as Minor League Baseball) approval.
Team President Jeff Eiseman will continue to run the organization and the club will remain an Atlanta Braves’ affiliate.
