MLB Weekly Wrap: The big trades

The Nationals and the Red Sox must feel like they are just one piece away.

One piece away from being in serious contention for a world championship.

Why else would both teams trade multiple top prospects to acquire Adam Eaton and Chris Sale from the White Sox?

Sale’s name has been rumored to be on the move since before the trade deadline last season. Chicago found no suitable deal at the time and held on to him for the duration of the season. But up stepped Red Sox GM Dave Dombrowski to the plate. He laid his cards on the table and poached Sale from Chicago, sending over a package of Yoan Moncada, Michael Kopech, Luis Alexander Basabe and Victor Diaz.
