MLB umpires deliver 100 Build-A-Bear Workshop bears

ST. LOUIS – Major League Baseball umpires, are in town for the St. Louis Cardinals’ series against the Atlanta Braves. They took time out to visit St. Louis Children’s Hospital and deliver 100 Build-A-Bear Workshop® furry friends, complete with outfits, to young patients undergoing treatment.

Since 2006, Major League Baseball umpires have been donating Build-A-Bear Workshop experiences to children coping with serious illnesses and injuries.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring a little dose of happiness to these kids and their families,” said UMPS CARE Charities Executive Director Jennifer Skolochenko-Platt in a press release.
