Turnabout is fair play.
MLB Network’s Jon Heyman reports the “Braves have checked in on A’s star 1B Matt Olson, presumably as a contingency plan in case Freddie Freeman leaves via free agency. Most still have a hard time envisioning Freeman in any other uniform but Braves want to be prepared.”
Olson has been linked time and again to the New York Yankees as a likely trade destination. Of course, the Atlanta Braves’ interest in Olson is tied to their ability to re-sign Freeman, who is being courted by, among other teams, the Yankees.
