For the third consecutive season, Julio Teheran will take the mound on Opening Day as the starter for the Atlanta Braves.
In an offseason and spring training that's been full of twists and turns, it's nice to deal with an event that seems about as inevitable as the sun rising and setting. The inevitable event that we're talking about here is the Braves officially naming Julio Teheran as their starting pitcher for Opening Day.
This will be Teheran's third consecutive season as the Opening Day starter for the Braves, and it's a pretty decent achievement for the Colombian right-hander when you consider that when his streak of Opening Day starts began, he was the fourth different Opening Day starter for the Braves in four seasons.
