Awards week continued Tuesday night with the Manager of the Year award announcement. Los Angeles Dodgers first-year manager Dave Roberts took home the honor in the National League while Cleveland Indians skipper Terry Francona was named in the American League.
Roberts helped guide the Dodgers to 91 wins while overcoming a host of injuries including losing Clayton Kershaw for over two months. Roberts captured 16 of the 30 first-place votes. Cubs manager Joe Madden finished second while the Nationals Dusty Baker came in third.
Francona helped lead the Indians to a 94-67 record and the American League Central Division crown.
