The Milwaukee Brewers close out their three-game series and six-game homestand against the Atlanta Braves at American Family Field on a hot and steamy Wednesday afternoon.
The game will feature a premier pitching matchup, with right-hander Freddy Peralta (6-6, 3.94) going for the Brewers (61-46) and left-hander Chris Sale (13-3, 2.68) countering for the Braves.
Before the game, Milwaukee officially added right-hander Frankie Montas to the 26-man roster and optioned left-hander Tyler Jay to Class AAA Nashville.
A quick lead against Chris Sale
Three consecutive singles by Jackson Chourio, Rhys Hoskins (on a check swing) and Gary Sánchez gave the Brewers a 1-0 lead before Sale could even get an out onto the board.
