Mike Soroka’s rookie season is officially over. Atlanta Braves’ manager Brian Snitker told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Gabe Burns that although Soroka has resumed throwing, he won’t return and will instead focus on getting ready for the 2019 season.
“We’re not going to see him this year,” manager Brian Snitker said. “Hopefully he’ll get it going. Best scenario for him is Instructional League (in October), be pitching and competing and go into the offseason normal. We’ll get him back in spring and go from there.”
The writing has been on the wall for a while now in terms of this announcement but hadn’t been made official until now.
