Mike Soroka came up to bat in a scoreless game with one out in the top of the third inning of today’s game in Washington. Then this happened.

Mike took a fastball to the inside middle of his forearm. He pinwheeled the bat away in disgust. He remained in the game to stand at first while Acuña and Swanson batted. But he was removed between innings. Soroka was relieved by Josh Tomlin.
