The Atlanta Braves still have a question mark at third base and Mike Moustakas remains on the open market. Still it doesn’t seem like the two are likely to get together anytime soon.
The free agent market as a whole has depressed signings and the prevailing thought is that players like Moustakas may have to take far less than they were expecting. Even with that, MLB.com’s Mark Bowman reports that Moustakas doesn’t seem like a fit for the Braves who are feeling a payroll pinch after taking on substantial salary from the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Matt Kemp trade.
