The Braves will look to capture a series win as they face the Phillies and starter Nick Pivetta Friday night. The young right hander from New Mexico was originally drafted by the Washington Nationals in 2013 before being traded to the Phillies in 2015. He made his Major League debut last season and predictably struggled to begin with but was able to finish the season with a 16-inning scoreless streak to post a collective 1.1 WAR.
He goes toe-to-toe with the Braves very own exciting young flamethrower Mike Foltynewicz who is beginning his fourth season in an Atlanta uniform after a nice improvement in 2017.
