The New York Mets will be looking for their second straight win over the Atlanta Braves when the clubs meet Tuesday at Truist Park.
However the Mets will be down at least two more players after a pair of injuries in Monday’s 3-1 win, which snapped New York’s three-game losing streak.
Taijuan Walker pitched only three innings Monday, allowing one hit and no runs, before exiting with tightness in his left side. Walker will have an MRI on Tuesday, according to manager Luis Rojas.
With the bases loaded in the seventh, center fielder Kevin Pillar was hit square in the face by a 95-mph fastball from Jacob Webb.
