Mets knock Wright out early, beat Braves 6-2

The Braves were plagued by walks yet again on Friday in a losing effort, falling to the Mets 6-2. Kyle Wright drew the start for Atlanta, but would be chased from the game in the fourth inning as walks and timely hitting plagued the young right-hander. Highlighting the Mets offensive effort was Brandon Nimmo, who got New York on the board in the second inning with a two-run home run to center field, while adding two additional hits. While the evening was less than stellar for Wright, the Braves offense scuffled in its own right, as Zack Wheeler combined with the Mets bullpen to stifle a previously hot-hitting Atlanta club.
