The Atlanta Braves pulled off the win after beating the New York Mets 4-1. It was a solid game for Atlanta as they kept New York from scoring until the ninth inning. In fact, they had a no-hitter going and it just so happened that JD Martinez spoiled it for the Braves.
There was just one out remaining in the ninth inning and the Braves needed one more to seal the combined no-hitter. If Atlanta accomplished that goal, it would have been the first no-no for the franchise in 30 years.
