One team that doesn't mind seeing the Cincinnati Reds play spoiler this week against the Atlanta Braves is the New York Mets.
That's why, as Mark Zuckerman pointed out with a tweet during the Mets' 10-1 win against the Washington Nationals at Citi Field, fans started cheering when the Reds' Spencer Steer hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning at GABP to give Cincinnati a 6-5 lead against Atlanta, in a game in which the Reds had trailed 5-1.
With the Mets' win and the Braves' loss, the Mets are tied with the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League wild card standings.
