If history isn't repeating itself this weekend for the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets, it's certainly playing a familiar tune.
The host Braves will look to complete a three-game sweep -- and the Mets will aim to stop an ill-timed skid and earn a pivotal victory -- when the National League Eastrivals meet for the final time in the regular season Sunday night.
Charlie Morton (9-6, 4.29 ERA) is slated to take the mound for the Braves against Chris Bassitt (15-8, 3.27) in a battle of veteran right-handers.
The Braves moved into first place in the NL East Saturday night when Matt Olson and Dansby Swanson combined for two homers and drove in all of Atlanta's runs in a 4-2 victory.
